For about four years I worked a perfectly fine corporate marketing job. Good salary, decent benefits, genuinely nice colleagues. And I spent most of it on Reddit at lunch reading about people who’d built income outside their 9-5.
So I started testing things.
I tried dropshipping. Lost money and three weekends I’ll never get back. Started a blog. Took 18 months before it earned a single dollar. Drove for DoorDash for six weeks — made okay money, hated every minute of it. Sold stuff on eBay — actually pretty good, weirdly relaxing. Did matched betting for a while. Tried print-on-demand, freelance writing, cashback stacking, GPT sites, survey platforms, gig apps. Some of it worked. A lot of it didn’t.
What I found was that almost every “make money online” site was written by someone who either hadn’t actually tried the thing they were recommending, or was so deep in affiliate commissions that they’d never tell you something didn’t work.
That bothered me.
So that’s what this site is.
Everything here is something I’ve personally tested. I tell you the actual numbers — how much I made, how long it took, what the catch was. I tell you when something isn’t worth your time. I don’t recommend things I haven’t used.
I went full-time self-employed in 2025. These days I write, consult on content strategy, and keep this site updated as new platforms come and go. The side hustle stuff isn’t my main income anymore — but I still run the surveys, still track the cashback apps, still test the new platforms so I know what’s actually worth recommending when someone asks.
Who this site is for
If you want to make $10,000 a month from a laptop on a beach in six weeks, this isn’t your place. If you want an honest answer to “what can I actually do to earn some extra money this week” — stick around.
I write for people with real jobs, real schedules, and limited patience for hype. Whether you’re trying to earn an extra $200/month or genuinely building toward leaving your job, I’ll tell you what works at each stage.
